About

Dr. Charis Davidson joined 猛男情报局 in 2020 to support the launch of the undergraduate health promotion concentration in health science. Dr. Davidson has been a since 2015.  She teaches courses in program planning, evaluation, and global health. Dr. Davidson is an active presence in public health organizations, she was recently elected governing councilor for the, a member of the, and a founding board member of the Westchester Public Health Network which launched in  Spring 2025. 

Community engagement is an essential element of Dr. Davidson's work. For the last four years she has provided evaluation and research assistance to Westchester County Department of Health projects. I am a founding board member of the new Westchester Public Health Network which seeks to strengthen the local public health workforce and create local career pathways for students. Both of these partnerships have integrated students into public health practice efforts to increase community capacity

Dr. Davidson teaches courses in the undergraduate health science program, predominantly in the Health Promotion concentration.

Dr. Davidson qualitatively-driven mixed-methods researcher; her work centers on increasing health equity through partnerships for community empowerment. Some of her recent projects have involved testing a dialogue-based health literacy intervention and exploring the process of university campus tobacco policy change.
